Homeopathy
Inspired by Mr. Merlaut, and driven by the Vineyard Manager Patrick Frederic, Gruaud Larose decided to use homeopathic treatments in the vineyard in order to reach a perfect balance. In fact, a vine behaves like a human. By understanding the soil, Gruaud Larose is doing its best to provide good and healthy nutrition to the vines with organic compost made from several mixes such as manure or compost with seaweeds that are used in winter and springtime as well as during the flowering. It gives to the soil and to the vine some oligo-elements, which could be used for self-defence against cryptogamic diseases like mildew, oïdium or rot. We are confident with our method as we have reduced dramatically the amount of treatments in our vineyard.
